The Pittsburgh Steelers wasted little time in ridding themselves of running back Chris Rainey. The fifth-round pick did not have much of an impact during the season. After being arrested early Thursday for allegedly slapping his girlfriend across the face the Steelers released him later in the day.
Rainey averaged 3.9 yards a carry this season on 26 rushes. He also caught 14 passes.
