New Jags GM shoots down Tebow rumors

Tim Tebow may not be a member of the Jacksonville Jaguars next season. New Jaguars general manager David Caldwell indicated that Tebow does not fit into the teams plans going forward.

Owner Shad Khan has been interested in Tebow for years but a deal does not appear to be in the works.

“He is a member of the New York Jets,” said Caldwell. “I can’t imagine a situation where he’s a Jacksonville Jaguar … even if he’s released.”
Last season Tebow served as the backup for for the New York Jets. He never was given a chane to start and was eventually passed over by third string quarterback Greg McElroy.
Currently the Jacksonville Jaguars are unsure of who will play quarterback for them next season. The organization appeared to turn the page on Blaine Gabbert and Chad Henne was unimpressive during his audition as the starter.
Jacksonville finished the season 2-14 and recently fired head coach Mike Mularkey.
