The NFL has fined Chicago Bears wide receiver Brandon Marshall for throwing a football into the stands following a 15-year touchdown reception last Sunday. The Bears loss the game to Green Bay by a score of 21-13.
Marhsall was fined $5,250 because he threw the ball into the stands instead of handing it or tossing it to a fan. The NFL does not like balls being tossed into the stands because it creates a safety risk for fans.
In October, Marshall was fined $10,500 for wearing orange shoes. Teammate Earl Bennett was also fined $10,500 for wearing orange shoes in the same game against the Detroit Lions on Oct. 22.
Marhsall currently leads the NFL with 107 receptions.
