Washington Redskins at Cleveland Browns point spread, line and odds

The Washington Redskins (7-6) will play against the Cleveland Browns (5-8) at Cleveland Browns Stadium on Sunday. Scheduled for a 1 pm EST kickoff this game will air on FOX.

So what is the point spread in the Redskins and Browns game? The Redskins and Browns game is off the board at many locations due to the injury status of Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III. Those who have the listed have it as a pick ’em right now. The over/under for the game is not listed at this time.

Clearly the status of Griffin changes this game in many ways. The rookie quarterback is a dual threat and would provide fits for a Browns team that is 21st against the pass and 17th against the run. Though how often he would get the Redskins into the end-zone may be an interesting study against a Browns team that is eighth in the NFL with 20.8 points allowed per game.

The Browns and just about every media outlet believes that Griffin will play on Sunday. Colt McCoy was used in practice this week to simulate the style of Griffin.

With or without Griffin, the Redskins plan to give the Browns a heavy dose of Alfred Morris. Morris, a sixth round pick in April, has emerged as a top tier running back and is over the 1,200 yard mark.

Trent Richardson scored two touchdowns last week but managed only 42 yards. He has another tough match-up in this one with the Redskins seventh ranked rushing defense.

The Redskins rank 31st against the pass but the Browns have not shown that they can throw the ball with Brandon Weeden and have consistent results.

With or without Griffin, expect this game to be close. The weather forecast calls for a slight chance of rain but suggests that temperatures should be in the low-50s.
