The Minnesota Vikings will play against the St. Louis Rams this Sunday at the Edward Jones Dome. Scheduled for a 1 pm EST kickoff this game will air on FOX.

What is the spread in the Vikings and Rams game? The Rams are favored to beat the Vikings. The line though varies from the Rams being a 1 point favorite all the way up to being a 3 point favorite against the Vikings. The over/under for this game is 38.5 points.

The Vikings go on the road this weekend after a win against Chicago last week. There is no secret to Vikings game plan, simply give Adrian Petereson the ball. The Vikings are third in the NFL in rushing with Peterson leading the NFL in yards gained on the ground. This week Peterson said he was gunning for Eric Dickerson’s single season rushing record. Peterson is currently 506 yards behind Dickerson’s record with three games left to play.

Christian Ponder seemed to be progressing midway though the season, now the Vikings are ranked last in passing yards per game. Defensively the Vikings remain a decent unit. They have not made a step forward in recent weeks but have remained relatively steady.

With a win on Sunday the Rams would move over .500 for the first time this season. A few weeks ago they were given up for dead but three straight wins and three games they should contend in the Rams may reach nine wins, at that point anything is possible.

The biggest question is can the Rams score. For the season they are 28th in the NFL averaging 18.2 points per game, even on their current win streak they have scored only 20.7 points per game. They are hopeful that Danny Amendola will be able to play which will be a bit of a boost for one of the worst crops of receivers in the NFL. All of the teams defensive stats suggest that they are little more then an average team.
