Tennessee Titans at Indianapolis Colts point spread, line and preview

The Tennessee Titans will play at the Indianapolis Colts this weekend at Lucas Oil Stadium. Scheduled for a 1 p.m EST kickoff the game will be aired on CBS.

Indianapolis struggled until the end of last season to find a win. This year the team has 8 and appear headed to the playoffs despite losing head coach Chuck Pagano early in the season to leukemia cancer. Andrew Luck is clearly the reason for the change in the Colts record as his play at quarterback has generated more points and much needed rest for a shaky defense.

The Tennessee Titans have lost their last two games against Houston and Jacksonville. Despite being a team with 8 losses the team has not lost 3 in a row all season. In the Titans October loss to the Colts running back Chris Johnson totaled 99 yards. After that game he topped 100 yards the following two weeks but was held in check by Houston and then a poor Jacksonville team. As Johnson goes so do the Titans on both sides of the ball.

So whats the point spread in the Colts and Titans game? The Colts are 5.5 point favorites against the Titans. The over/under for the game has been set at 48.

It was the blunder of the week for odds-makers. Last week the Colts were 3 point underdogs against the Detroit Lions. Really?

Prediction: The Colts win this one. Considering the up and downs with the Titans and the fact the Colts defeated them in Tennessee by 6 (even if it was overtime) we expect the Colts to more then cover in this one. That game happened six weeks ago and the Colts are 4-1 since that time winning by an average of 7.25.

Indianapolis scores 22.7 points per game while Tennessee has scored 20.7. The fun comes on defense. Indianapolis has allowed 22.5 points per game while Tennessee allows 29.9. For those reasons we like the over.
