Darnell Dockett is being fined $200,000 by the Arizona Cardinals

Arizona Cardinals defensive end Darnell Dockett is being fined $200,000 by the team for conduct detrimental to the team, according to NFL’s Albert Breer.

Breer said that the NFL Players Association already has begun the progress of filing a grievance on Dockett’s behalf.

After the fine was announced, Dockett wrote on his Twitter, “ Thank God for the @nflpa that’s all I got to say… “I ain’t got no worries”

The punishment comes after last weekends game when teammate Kerry Rhodes and Dockett argued on the field – it was reported that Dockett spit in Rhodes face, but Rhodes was quick to release a statement on Tuesday saying that was not true.

The team is showing that Dockett’s behavior on the field is not acceptable and is putting a message out there to players that it won’t be tolerated.

Dockett is in year three of a six-year, $56 million contract with the Cardinals.
