Nick Foles has been named the starting quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles for the rest of the season. Foles has started three games this season after Michael Vick suffered a concussion during the Eagles/Dallas game on Nov.11.
Eagles coach Andy Reid announced the decision to put Foles in as starter for the rest of the season during a press conference on Monday and that Vick remains at Phase 4 of his post-concussion testing as of Monday morning.
The Eagles organization wants to see what Foles can do. He showed serious progress on Sunday night against the Dallas Cowboys, even in a loss. Reid spoke with Vick, who he said was “on board” with the decision.
Vick is due $15.5 million next year and will likely be cut during the off season.
