Carolina Panthers at Philadelphia Eagles point spread, line and preview

The Carolina Panthers play the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football from Lincoln Financial Field. The game will air on ESPN at 8:30 p.m. EST.

Both teams enter the game as huge disappointments. The Eagles have not won a game since September 30th while the Panthers have done a better job of entertaining fans in post game press conferences.

So what is the line for tonight’s game between the Panthers and Eagles? The Carolina Panthers are three point favorites against the Philadelphia Eagles. The over/under (total) points for the game is set at 42.

This game will be one of two frustrating offenses. Cam Newton of the Panthers has taken a sophomoric step back from where he was last season.

If you think that is bad the Eagles are without running back LeSean McCoy this week after losing quarterback Michael Vick weeks ago. Vick may be able to play next week but the Eagles will have to rely on backup Nick Foles who did not impress in his first start.

The Eagles defense seemed to quit weeks ago and both teams are primed for changes at the head coaching position. This has to rank as one of the worst Monday Night Football match-ups of the season.

Tireball.com Prediction: We like the Panthers to win. This game has all the making of a low scoring game, yet we believe the Panthers will cover the three points. Why? We simply see no offense on the Eagle roster.
