Jake Locker ruled out for Week 5, Hasselbeck to start

While the Tennesse Titans say his status is “uncertain” going forward, quarterback Jake Locker has been ruled out for Week 5 due to his shoulder.

Matt Hasselbeck will start in his place against Minnesota on Sunday.

Coach Mike Munchak does not believe that the injury will eventually force Locker to have surgery however Locker’s injury is starting to look like it could take multiple weeks to heal.

Hasselbeck was 17-for-25 with 193 yards passing after taking over for Locker last week against Houston. Hasselbeck threw 2 touchdowns and 2 interceptions against the Texans. The Titans loss the game 38-14.
