Tuesday’s Music City Bowl is not what Notre Dame or LSU signed up for. In fact both schools appeared set for better earlier this year before the collective wheels fell off.
The Notre Dame Fighting Irish (7-5) lost their last four games to fall out of the top-25 in what turned out to be a lost season following a mid-season loss to FSU. Meanwhile the No. 23 LSU Tigers (8-4) have lost two of their last three.
