Florida State has suspended quarterback Jameis Winston for the first half of its game against No. 24 Clemson on Saturday reports USA Today.

Winston allegedly yelled an obscene phrase in a public space on Tuesday. The phrase is believed to be “F*** her right in the *****” which has become a popular internet meme for those attending college.

“As the university’s most visible ambassadors, student-athletes at Florida State are expected to uphold at all times high standards of integrity and behavior that reflect well upon themselves, their families, coaches, teammates, the Department of Athletics and Florida State University,” interim president Garnett Stokes and athletics director Stan Wilcox said in a statement. “Student-athletes are expected to act in a way that reflects dignity and respect for others.

“As a result of his comments yesterday, which were offensive and vulgar, Jameis Winston will undergo internal discipline and will be withheld from competition for the first half of the Clemson game.”

The suspension comes shortly after Seminoles head coach Jimbo Fisher said that the school was considering punishment following reports that Winston stood on a table at the student union and shouted a vulgar phrase.

A year ago Winston was accused of sexual assault but chargers were never filed after the state prosecutor cited problems with the investigation and later concluded that a conviction was unlikely. Winston has also been involved in incidents from shooting pellet guns to stealing crab legs.
