Minnesota coach Jerry Kill carted off field after seizure

Jerry Kill, coach of the Minnesota Golden Gophers was carted off the field on a stretcher Saturday after suffering an apparent seizure.It happened during the second quarter of the Gophers game against Western Illinois.

Kill received medical attention on the sideline before he was taken off the field. He was lying on the ground, writhing back and forth with medical staff surrounding him, right after the Gophers left for the locker room.

The school did not release what had happened to Kill– but it is known that Kill has a history of suffering from epileptic seizures during games.

Kill’s last known seizure happened during the teams finale against Michigan State. Assistant Jay Sawvel served as  coach with Kill out.
