While there are some schools with a lot of chatter, no match-up in the first week of the college football season may be as enticing on paper as the one between the Georgia Bulldogs and Clemson Tigers.
Georgia, ranked No. 5, begins its season on the road visiting No. 8 Clemson.
Memorial Stadium in Clemson, South Carolina will be the site of the match-up between Georgia and Clemson. Coverage of the game will air on ABC beginning at 8:00 pm ET.
How close do odds makers think this contest could be?
Entering Saturday’s game Georgia is a 1.5 point favorite against Clemson. The over/under for the game is set at 71 total points.
Last season Georgia fell just short of an appearance in the National Championship game. Now they will face the first of three top-15 ranked opponents in their first four games.
Clemson is led by dual threat Tajh Boyd who is ready for Georgia.
“It’s a lot about putting our best foot forward and I feel like we have the team to do that,” Boyd said. “I feel like we’ve got the people to make special things happen.”
