Texas A&M QB Johnny Manziel was released from the Manning Passing Academy on Saturday afternoon, after he was late showing up to the camp. Numerous reports surfaced that Manziel took a night out on the town and was partying.

Manziel apologized to Texas A&M coaching staff earlier this week citing “illness” and “dehydration.”

Manziel, a sophomore, has stayed in the headlines since the end of the college football season. Between social media comments, travel plans and celebrity appearances there has been no stopping “Johnny Football.”

Wednesday, Manziel was to appear as a part of SEC Media Days. He arrived, camera’s in his face accompanied by Texas A&M staff, first stop — ESPN.

Manziel was asked first about his dismissal from the Manning Camp — he blamed his departure on over sleeping.

When he was asked if he was hungover, Manziel replied, “Absolutely not” and expressed remorse for what had happened, “There’s no excuse for it. Absolutely my fault,” Manziel said.
