The Valero Alamo Bowl will host the Texas Longhorns and Oregon State Beavers on Saturday night. Kickoff for this game is at 6:45 pm EST in San Antonio, TX.

At the beginning of the season both schools appeared on their way to a better bowl game. Instead they match-up in the Alamodome.

What is the point spread in the Texas and Oregon State game? Most places have Oregon State as a 3.5 point favorite against Texas. Some places have the line as high as -5. The over/under for this game is listed at 57 total points at most places.

The Longhorns should have a large fan presence as the school is roughly an hour from the site of Saturdays game. Still two members of the team, quarterback Case McCoy and injured linebacker Jordan Hicks, were sent home after breaking curfew.

Texas’ defense has been chastised much of the season for allowing too many points. In the teams first seven games they allowed 35 points per game but have cut that number to 21.6 over the teams final five games.

They will be tasked with stoping Markus Wheaton who averages 100.6 yards a game, 11th best in the nation.

Oregon will also look to force turnovers. They forced 30 during regular play including 19 interceptions.
