Tennessee QB Tyler Bray tells reporters he’s “paid to win football games”

Tennessee Volunteer QB Tyler Bray misspoke Tuesday when he told news reporters that,” I’m paid to win football games.”

Oh really?

Reporters were quick to fire back and question the words Bray spoke reports USAToday.

Bray quickly back tracked and tried to correct himself by saying, “I mean… my education. That’s what the SEC likes to call ‘getting paid.'”

Maybe Bray should of been a little more careful of what words he used to describe his scholarship. As “getting paid” seems to be a new one, one that most certainly will grab the NCAA’s attention.

Regardless how Bray meant the statement, the Vols are 0-6 in the SEC this year (6-6 overall) Tennessee plays against Vanderbilt (6-4, 4-3 SEC) this weekend.

Bray is considered one of the top NFL quarterback prospects of the 2013 draft.
