Last year Chin-Hui Tsao made it back to the major leagues. On Monday the 34-year-old signed a minor league deal with the Dodgers.
Tsao appeared in seven games for the Dodgers after a late season call up pitching out of the bullpen. He pitched seven innings posting a 10.29 ERA.
He had better numbers at Triple-A where he compiled a 2.77 ERA and 42/11 K/BB ratio over 39 innings. Ideally the Dodgers will use him at the minor league level and only have to call upon him in case of injuries. If he pitches well there is a chance at another late season call up.
