An ace remains on the market, except that ace is years removed from regularly playing at the major league level.

Cliff Lee has drawn little interest this offseason after missing most of the last two seasons due to injury.

The 37-year-old left hander missed all of last season and played just 13 games in 2014. As many as 15 teams have been connected to Lee but thus far no word on a contract has surfaced at all.

According to Nick Cafardo of the Boston Globe teams are being scared off by Lee asking for a $6-8 million salary plus incentives.

Lee’s agent already said that the pitcher is looking for an ideal situation if he is to pitch this year and right now its hard to see one.
