Fan falls from upper deck at Turner Field, in grave condition

A fan fell from the upper deck at Turner Field during the seventh inning of the Braves loss to the Yankees on Saturday night.

The fan was taken to a hospital on a stretcher and is said to be in grave condition.

“There was an accident during tonight’s game involving a fan,” the Braves said in a statement. “The fan was immediately treated at the scene and transported to a local hospital.”

According to reports the fan lost his balance while yelling at Alex Rodriguez who had been called upon to pinch hit. He then fell 50 feet to the concrete below him striking a railing on the way down,

Saturday’s attendance was listed as 49,243. It was the largest crowd of the season for the Braves.
