Following a blow-out loss to the Boston Red Sox on Sunday night, the Detroit Tigers are shaking up their bullpen.

Back from Triple-A Toledo is right hander Buck Farmer who owns a 9.22 ERA in 13 2/3 innings this season.

Farmer replaces Kyle Ryan who was hammered for three earned runs on five hits in just 1 2/3 innings on Sunday. Ryan has pitched 32 innings for the Tigers but owns a dismal 6.19 ERA.

The bullpen has been a problem spot for the Tigers all season long. At 48-50 on the season the Tigers are in a precarious position as the trade deadline approaches. They are 11.5 games back of the AL Central leading Kansas City Royals but just four games out of the final AL Wild Card spot.
