With the St. Louis Cardinals looking for an offensive upgrade at first base one option which has emerged is Adam Lind of the division rival Milwaukee Brewers.

Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that the Cardinals and Brewers have discussed a trade which would send the 32-year-old from one NL Central team to another.

The Cardinals have been without Matt Adams since May and have not gotten the desired results out of Mark Reynolds. The Cardinals are currently looking at playing rookie Stephen Piscotty at first baes. He was 2-for-3 with a walk and an RBI in Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Braves.

On the season Lind owns a .865 OPS, 16 home runs, and 58 RBI through 92 games. Lind is earning $7.5 million this season and has a team option for $8 million for the 2016 season.
