Robinson Cano has a deep bruise on his forehead but did not suffer a concussion in Saturday’s game against the Los Angeles Angels.
Willie Bloomquist replaced Cano after he was struck in the head with a ball in between innings. Bloomquist is expected to start on Sunday.
Through 7 games this season Cano has hit just .244/.281/.352 with four home runs and 24 RBI. Cano continues to regress dropping in home runs and doubles in each season since he set career highs in 2013.
