On Friday the Arizona Diamondbacks will recall catcher Jarrod Saltalamacchia from Triple-A Reno.
Saltalamacchia gets the call up to the big league roster with Tuffy Gosewish out with injury. While Saltalamacchia failed to produce with the Miami Marlins earning his release earlier this year, the veteran was the most likely replacement.
If his nine games at Triple-A are any indication the National League West will not have much problem getting Satalamacchia out.
