The Tampa Bay Rays have activated infielder Nick Franklin from the 15-day disabled list.
Franklin, 24, missed the start of the regular season while dealing with an oblique strain. He had been penciled in as the Rays starting second baseman prior to the injury but given the success of Logan Forsythe it is hardly a given that Franklin assumes the spot.
Franklin hit .286/.400/.333 on his seven-game minor league rehab assignment with Triple-A Durham.
