Mike Minor underwent shoulder surgery on Wednesday

On Wednesday left handed pitcher Mike Minor underwent surgery to repair a torn labrum. Minor will miss the rest of the 2015 season but is expected to be ready for the start of spring training next year.

Minor was awarded $5.6 million this season via arbitration but will enter the offseason as a non-tender candidate. If the Braves history with Brandon Beachy and Kris Medlen are any indication then the 27-year-old will be pitching else where next season.

Minor had dealt with shoulder discomfort last season. Overall though parts of five seasons he a 38-36 record to go with a 4.11 ERA and a 1.27 WHIP.
