Twins sign Brian Dozier to four-year extension

The Minnesota Twins have given second baseman Brian Dozier a four-year contract worth $20 million.

Dozier will earn $2 million this season, $3 million in 2016 before getting $6 million in 2017 and $9 million in 2018.

The deal between the Twins and Dozier does not buy out any of his arbitration years.

Dozier, 27, is coming off a fine 2014 season in which he hit .242/.345/.416 with 23 home runs, 71 RBI, while swiping 21 stolen bases.
