Mike Minor dealing with tightness in throwing shoulder

After seeing numerous pitchers undergo Tommy John surgery before Spring Training got underway last season, the last thing the Atlanta Braves wanted to hear was that starter Mike Minor was dealing with tightness in his throwing shoulder.

Minor dealt with shoulder issues last year after getting a late start on the season. He finished with a 4.77 ERA last year and now is ticketed to see Dr. James Andrews early next week.

The results of what Andrews sees in regards to Minor’s shoulder will dictate how his season goes.
