Perhaps Ryan Vogelsong will be pitching for the Giants during the 2015 season after all.
According to Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports the 37-year-old right hander is in “serious discussions” with the team about returning for next season.
Vogelsong was said to be inching closer to a one-year deal with the Astros on Wednesday but now appears set to return to the Giants as an end of the rotation option.

Drafted by the Giants in 1998, Vogelsong returned to the team for the 2011 season and has been there for the last four seasons. He was 8-13 with a 4.00 ERA and a 1.28 WHIP across 32 starts last seaon as the Giants won the World Series for a second time with Vogelsong on the roster.
Vogelsong may have a bigger contract on the table from the Astros by may prefer to stick with the organization he is familiar with. If signed Vogelsong would be a nice addition to a team who saw another starter in Tim Hudson undergo ankle surgery.
