Padres set to acquire Justin Upton

In a matter of days the San Diego Padres have become a boon for offense.

The Padres recently acquired Matt Kemp, Wil Myers, and Derek Norris and are now on the verge of picking up Justin Upton from the Braves.

Set to be come a free agent at the end of the season the Braves have been trying to deal the 27-year-old all offseason.

Upotn is coming off a 2014 season in which he hit .270/.342/.491 with 29 home runs and 102 RBI.

No word on what the Braves will get but its believed to be either Hunter Renfroe, Matt Wisler or Austin Hedges.

The Brave traded way Jayson Heyward earlier this offseason acquiring pitcher Shelby Miller. Since that time the Braves have signed Alberto Callaspo and Nick Markakis.
