The Orioles have added some organizational depth signing Matt Tuiasosopo to a minor league deal.

Tuiasosopo, 28, will report to spring training trying to land a spot on the Orioles bench. He spent 2014 playing at the Triple-A level where he produced a .240/.357/.379 line with 13 home runs and 50 RBI over 122 games.

Odds are that Tuiasosopo will begin the season in the minors. He is the brother of former Raiders quarterback Marques Tuiasosopo.

While he has appeared in just 152 big league games dating back to the 2008 season, Tuiasosopo had a decent run with the Tigers in 2013 when he hit .244/.351/.415 with seven home runs and 30 RBI.
