Rockies sign Aaron Laffey and John Lannan to minor league deals

The Colorado Rockies have signed left handed pitchers Aaron Laffey and John Lannan to minor league contracts.

Laffey, 29, spent the 2014 season at Triple-A Syracuse for the Washington Nationals posting a 3.67 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 91/37 K/BB ratio over 147 innings.

The 30-year-old Lannan appeared at Triple-A Las Vegas within the New York Mets system. Lannan produced a 6.75 ERA over 56 innings of work. The left hander also saw time at the big league level posting 15.75 ERA in four innings of work.

Both Lannan and Laffey will compete for rotation spots with the Rockies this spring.
