The Seattle Mariners landed Robinson Cano last offseason, this year they will try to land another big free agent fish.
According to Fox Sports’ Ken Rosenthal the Marinres are prepared to make a run at infielder Hanley Ramirez as well as Victor Martinez.
Ramirez is easily looking at a deal worth $100 million which begs the question if the Mariners can add that type of contract to their payroll. Ramirez revealed earlier this week that he was willing to play anywhere on the field that he was needed. There figures to be plenty of big market suitors for him.
Sources: #Mariners interested in Hanley. Some, however, doubt team will make another $100M+ signing. One source says VMart is M's priority.

Of course the top target of the Mariners may be Victor Martinez.
The 35-year-old Martinez is coming off perhaps his best offensive season and is expected to be aiming for a four-year deal. Martinez and the Detroit Tigers both have mutual interest in working out a deal but the Mariners and others will try to pry him away.
