The Philadelphia Phillies and pitcher A.J. Burnett have both declined their ends of a $15 million option for 2015.

It remains unclear if the 37-year-old will return for next season as he is believed to considering retirement again this year. He still holds a player option worth $12.75 million for next season.

Burnett was 8-18 with a 4.59 ERA in 34 starts in his first year with the Phillies. He will have until Monday to pick up his option.
