Move over Rick Renteria, the Chicago Cubs have hired Joe Maddon as their manager according to multiple reports.
CBS Sports’ Jon Heyman says that a deal is done that will make the former manager of the Tampa Bay Rays the new manager of the Cubs in 2015.

Heyman spent nine seasons as the manager of the Rays but when general manager Andrew Friedman left the team Maddon quickly made the same decision. He was 754-705 during his tenure with the Rays which included six straight winning seasons from 2008 to 2013.
