After tweaking something in the left side of his back during Game 2 of the World Series, San Francisco Giants pitcher Tim Lincecum will undergo an MRI.

Lincecum was pitching out of the bullpen in mopup duty in Wednesday’s game.

The Giants want to see if Lincecum will be available any longer or if it is better to rule him out for the series and replace him with another player.

The 30-year-old Lincecum was 12-9 with a 4.74 ERA and a 1.39 WHIP during the regular season which included 33 games of which 26 were starts.
