John Hart has been serving as the interim general manager of the Atlanta Braves but recently declined interst in taking over the job full time. On Thursday the Braves announced that Hart would take over their President of Baseball Operations role.
John Schuerholz has been serving as the Braves president but his duties extend far past the traditional baseball operations role.
This decision is interesting only because Hart would seemingly be in charge of whomever the Braves do hire as general manager. The Braves have been believed to be interested in moving John Coppolella to the general manager role and initially wanted Hart to train him for a few years before making the switch.
