Now that Jeff Banister has been hired as the manager of the Texas Rangers, general manager Jon Daniels is now looking to re-sign pitcher Colby Lewis.

“We haven’t been able to spend much time on that,” Daniels said of a new contract. “We can get back to that now.”

The Rangers have until the end of the World Series to re-sign Lewis before other teams can get involved. The 35-year-old was just 10-14 with a 5.18 ERA in 29 starts for the Rangers in 2014.
