MLB postpones Game 3 of ALCS between Royals and Orioles

A day long downpour has forced the postponement of Game 3 of the American League Championship Series between the Kansas City Royals and Baltimore Orioles. Down 2-0 the Orioles will hope that the rain translates to a series altering event.

Game 3 will now take place on Tuesday at 8:07 pm ET at Kauffman Stadium. Games on Wednesday and Thursday (if necessary) would follow. The series would then shift back to Baltimore on Friday.

Should the Orioles force a Game 6, there would be no off day between Game 5 on Thursday and Game 6 on Friday.

Both managers will stick with their planned Game 3 starters – Jeremy Guthrie for the Royals and Wei-Yin Chen for the Orioles but neither manager is saying who would tab the rubber in Game 4 or beyond.
