The Colorado Rockies have signed starting pitcher Jorge De La Rosa to a two-year contract extension that goes though the 2016 season.
De La Rosa $12.5M AAV in line with many of last year’s FAs – Garza, Nolasco, Jimenez, Arroyo, Hudson. Fewer years because he turns 34 in ’15

Currently 13-10 with a 4.26 ERA on the season, De La Rosa will turn 34 next April.
De La Rosa’s new deal will prevent him from hitting the open market this winter. There was some belief that he could be moved prior to the trade deadline but that never happened.
According to Ken Rosenthal the new deal for De La Rosa is for $25 million over the next two seasons.
