Derek Holland made his season debut on Tuesday night holding the Kansas City Royals to one run in seven innings of work.
Holland, 27, was left with a no decision after allowing ix hits and recording six strikeouts. The only bad part of the outing for Holland was that the Rangers offense simply could not figure out Jeremy Guthrie who matched him on the score board. Eventually the Royals pushed across their second run shortly after Holland departed giving them the 2-1 win.
The next start for Holland will be Saturday against Seattle.
