Boston Red Sox second baseman Dustin Pedroia was displaying concussion-like symptoms after leaving Saturday’s game against Tampa Bay.

Pedroia, 31, was hit in the head by the forearm of Kevin Kiermaier in a second inning collision during the loss to the Rays. The Red Sox will send Pedroia to a doctor Sunday morning and signs point to him landing on the 7-day concussion disabled list.

In other Red Sox news infielders Kelly Johnson and Michael Almanzar were traded to divisional rival Baltimore for Jemile Weeks and Ivan DeJesus Jr.

The Orioles will want to use Johnson in a utility role. He owns a .212/.290/.354 line in 87 games this season between the New York Yankees and Red Sox.

Fun Fact: Once Johnson suits up for the Orioles he will have appeared on the roster of every AL East team.
