Los Angeles Angels pitcher Garrett Richards left his start on Wednesday night against Boston with a left knee injury.

Richards was taken away from Fenway Park in an ambulance after his left knee game out while he was running to cover first base. The right hander had to be placed on a stretcher and was carted off the field.

While there have been no reports about Richards thus far, one can assume his 2014 season will come to an end. It is undoubtedly a crushing blow to the Angels rotation as the 26-year-old was 13-4 with a 2.61 ERA and a 1.04 WHIP.
