On Wednesday New York Yankees pitcher Masahiro threw ten pitches from the stretch.
Tanaka’s throwing session came on flat ground at Camden Yards with pitching coach Larry Rothschild catching.
The Yankees and Tanaka are hoping that the right hander can avoid Tommy John surgery. Tanaka has been trying to rehab a small tear of the ulnar collateral ligament with an eye on returning this season.
Tanaka threw 10 fastballs on flat ground, feels no pain, feels he can pitch this year if things progress the way they should.
