The Detroit Tigers rotation continues to take its lumps.

On Monday night former Cy Young Award winner Justin Verlander left his start against Pittsburgh with a sore right shoulder.

Verlander allowed five runs, four of which were earned, while giving up four hits and two walks in his inning of work.

The Tigers will re-evaluate Verlander on Tuesday.

It has been a tough season for the 31-year-old Verlander. Though 25 starts he owns a 4.76 ERA and a 1.42 WHIP.
