The Houston Astros hae acquired minor league infielder Cesar Carrasco from the Arizona Diamondbacks in exchange for pitcher Alex Sogard.
Carrasco has appeared in just seven games this season after hitting .259/.326/.321 with a homer and 15 RBI in 51 games across three different minor league stops last year.
Sogard, 26, had been pitching at Double-A Corpus Christi for the Astros. In 25 relief appearances he owns a 2.91 ERA and a 1.22 WHIP.
