The Los Angeles Angels are set to acquire pitcher Joe Thatcher and outfielder Tony Campana from the Arizona Diamondbacks reports FOX Sports’ Ken Rosenthal.
The 32-year-old Thatcher has had a good season in the Diamondbacks bullpen posting a 2.63 ERA and a 1.08 WHIP across 37 appearances. He owns a 25/3 K/BB ratio and would provide the Angels with the left handed option they have been looking for in their pen.

Campana, 28, is merely a throw in. In 26 games this season he owns a .150/.164/.200 line and his career numbers are none better. Some will consider Campana’s speed and ability to play center an asset.
This does not figure to be the last trade fro the Diamondbacks who are desperate to shake up their roster. Multiple teams are interested in infielders Aaron Hill, Martin Prado and Didi Gregorius.
