The Cincinnati Reds are considering the promotion of pitcher Chien-Ming Wang to start one game of their July 8 double header against the Chicago Cubs.

Wang has pushed back an opt out date in his contract until after the All-Star break.
The 34-year-old Wang has a 3.48 ERA in 16 starts for Triple-A Louisville. Wang has appeared in just 27 big league games since the end of the 2009 season.
