It seems not long ago that Heath Bell recorded three seasons of 40-plus saves in a row earning himself three spots on the NL All-Star team.

Three years later the now 36-year-old is struggling to retire batters at the Triple-A level.

The New York Yankees were the latest team to give Bell a shot before they cut ties with him on Tuesday.

Now three different teams have given Bell a shot this season and parted ways with him. Bell’s lone stint in the majors this season came with Tampa Bay where he had a 7.27 ERA and a 1.85 WHIP in 13 games. From there he went to Baltimore before moving on to New York.
