The Arizona Diamondbacks have placed right handed pitcher Bronson Arroyo on the 15-day disabled list.
Arroyo, 37, is dealing with right elbow tendinitis. He has never been on the DL before in his 15-year career.
It is unclear how long Arroyo will be out of action. The tendinitis first became a problem last month and forced him to leave Sunday’s start. No replacement to the rotation has been named but Randall Delgado has to be considered the favorite at this point.
Despite the nagging injury, Arroyo had been his typical self making 14 starts posting a 7-4 record to go with a 4.08 ERA and 1.29 WHIP.
